Investment Criteria

Unilever Ventures will invest between €500K and €10m over the life of an investment. We typically require the following criteria to be met:

·          Business is consistent with our sector focus (see ‘Investment Focus’)

·          Clearly defined and differentiated business proposition

·          Proposition can demonstrate significant growth potential within a sizeable market opportunity

·          Business model can be readily implemented and is scalable

·          A defensible IP or technology that is (or is in the process of being) registered to the company

·          Management that can demonstrate the necessary skills and commitment to take the business forward and have a track record of managing growth

Occasionally Unilever Ventures considers proposals that do not meet all of these criteria or that do not fall within the sector focus areas listed. In these instances the proposals must be particularly compelling or have a strong synergy with an existing portfolio company.
