“Northwest Biomedical Start Up of the Year 2007” Award for IOTA NanoSolutions

IOTA NanoSolutions Ltd is pleased to announce it was the recipient of the Bionow “Northwest Biomedical Start Up of the Year 2007” Award at the 6th Annual Biotechnology Awards Ceremony held last week (22nd November 2007). The award was presented to IOTA NanoSolutions based on the quality of the company’s R&D initiative as well as the potential for growth.
IOTA NanoSolutions has developed a range of novel approaches and technologies to generate nano-dispersions of poorly soluble and insoluble API’s. The technologies enable NCE development, life cycle extension and/or novel delivery formats.
Dr Linda Magee, NWDA Biotechnology Sector Director and Head of Bionow, said; “I was extremely pleased to present the 6th annual Northwest Biotechnology Awards, which recognise excellence within the biomedical sector. The winners of our awards are testament to the excellent work being done on the ground in this fascinating growth sector. IOTA NanoSoulutions are a great example of the superb talent we have working in the biomedical sector in the Northwest and their enthusiasm and drive is recognized in this regional award.”
Earlier this year, IOTA NanoSolutions was also the recipient of two other awards; the coveted NWDA’s “Science and Technology Business of the Year” Award at the Liverpool Daily Post’s Regional Business Awards and the “Merseyside Innovation Award 2007”. IOTA NanoSolutions was also featured as the Royal Society of Chemistry’s, (RSC’s), “SME of the Month” in September.
CEO of IOTA NanoSolutions, Andrew Elphick, commented on the multiple successes, “This is the third external award which the company has received this year. We are particularly pleased with the Bionow award due to the recognition it brings to the company’s significant developments and achievements within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology field”.
